OfirmZ Capture Extension Privacy

Effective 20 July 2026

1. Scope

This policy covers the OfirmZ Meeting Capture Chrome extension ("the Extension"), operated by OramZ Pvt Ltd. It supplements our general Privacy Policy.

2. What the Extension does

When you arm a meeting in OfirmZ and join a Google Meet call, the Extension can capture tab audio from the Meet tab (with Chrome's tab capture permission), upload it to your OfirmZ workspace, and trigger transcription and action-item review in the OfirmZ app.

3. Data we process

  • Meeting audio — tab audio recorded while capture is active, sent to OfirmZ for transcription and meeting intelligence.
  • Meeting metadata — meeting ID and title you arm, timestamps, and capture status.
  • Authentication — a capture token (or short-lived pairing code exchanged for a token) that links the Extension to your OfirmZ user and workspace. Tokens are stored in the Extension's local storage and as hashed secrets on our servers.
  • App origin — the OfirmZ URL the Extension is connected to (for API calls).

The Extension does not read your browsing history outside Google Meet, and it does not capture audio unless a meeting is armed and you are in a Meet call.

4. How we use data

We use Extension-related data only to:

  • Authenticate the Extension to your OfirmZ account.
  • Record, upload, transcribe, and summarize meetings you choose to capture.
  • Show capture status and deep-link you back to the meeting review page.

We do not sell this data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not transfer it to data brokers.

5. Storage and retention

Capture tokens live in Chrome storage on your device until you disconnect. Server-side token hashes expire (typically within 90 days) or when you revoke them in OfirmZ Settings. Meeting audio and transcripts follow the retention rules of your OfirmZ workspace as described in the main Privacy Policy.

6. Permissions

  • tabCapture / offscreen document — record Meet tab audio.
  • meet.google.com content script — detect join/leave to start and stop capture.
  • Host access to your OfirmZ origin — upload audio and call capture APIs.
  • storage / notifications — save connection state and notify you when recording starts or finishes.

7. Your choices

  • Do not arm a meeting — the Extension will not record.
  • Disarm or disconnect from the Extension popup or OfirmZ Settings → Integrations.
  • Uninstall the Extension from Chrome at any time.
